Vendor Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor with the Orange Community Farmers and Artisan Market. Submitting this application does not ensure a space at the market, as all vendors will undergo a certification process in order to participate. We will contact you if you have been accepted and when there is space for your products. This may mean that you will be offered an alternative date/dates, as we want to make sure there are a variety of different products at each market day. However, since we are a community-based market, we would like to give all qualified vendors who reside in the Orange School District an opportunity to participate. Qualified vendors must reside in the Orange School District and be compliant with the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Cottage Law regarding food safety. https://agri.ohio.gov/divisions/food-safety/resources/cottage-food. There may be space given to vendors outside the district if there are vacancies after all qualified district residents have been screened and placed.

Bakers/Food Purveyors: A written list of products you wish to bring to market must be submitted with your application. We encourage you to use local ingredients whenever possible. We will only accept vendors who produce enough quantity of product for a market setting (more than a few dozen cookies, for example). Photographs are encouraged for marketing purposes (by participating in the market, you are giving permission for your product photos to be shared publicly). All food items need to be packaged and have an ingredients list for consumers to view. If you have questions about the packaging and labeling guidelines, see the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s website:https://agri.ohio.gov/divisions/food-safety.

Artists: A written and photographic description of the art you plan to sell must be submitted with your application. Photographs are also encouraged for marketing purposes. Your products must be handmade or artisan items. We will only accept vendors who produce enough quantity of product for a market setting.

Growers and Egg Producers: A written list of the produce you wish to bring to market must be submitted with your application. Photographs are encouraged for marketing purposes. If you are selling eggs, they need to be marked as washed or unwashed. We will only accept vendors with enough quantity of product for this market setting.

General information: Vendors must provide their own table(s), signage, chair, and tent if desired. The market organizers have final discretion to add or remove products from the market. Every effort should be made to inform the market organizers if a vendor must cancel. Booth fees will not be refunded. Once accepted, vendors will pay a $20 non-refundable booth fee per market day they are given.

I am a (check all that apply):

This market is not able to accept vendors who produce raw meat, cheese, milk, and other dairy products unless that vendor holds a Retail Food Establishment (RFE) License. You would need to provide a copy of that license with your application. All other vendors need to follow the laws regarding food safety under Cottage Law https://agri.ohio.gov/divisions/food-safety/resources/cottage-food.

Please describe the products you plan to sell here. Be as specific as possible, including types of product, approximate quantity of product you will have at each market, and variety. We will attempt to balance the types of products in our market, so unusual varieties and unique items are appreciated.

I state that all information provided by me to the market, including the information in this application, is true, complete, and correct.
